About us

Rafael Ortolá was born in Valencia (Spain) and visited the German school of Valencia, from which he graduated with a university entrance level (Abitur). After having studied architecture at the Technical University of Valencia for two years he continued his studies in Germany at the Technical University of Munich, from which he graduated with a degree in architecture. He then joined the architectural department of Siemens Germany and later on the renowned developer Bayerische Hausbau in Munich. From 1992 he headed the technical department of the developer Vibelba, the Spanish subsidiary of Bayrische Hausbau at Mallorca. In 1998 Rafael Ortolá founded Ortolá Architects, the architectural office which bears his name. Apart from Spanish and German he is also fluent in English and French.
